Vee is for Vortex – Chapter 9

Welcome back! Thanks for tuning in with me and the Landgraab family.
Question of the day: Can evil sims enjoy goofy bubble baths?

Malcolm Landgraab says yes! He might be evil but he is also always enjoying the finer things in life like vanilla cupcakes and bubble baths. He might have to pursue his aspiration of Public Enemy to maintain his evil energy! We’ll get back to that later.

Unfortunately while Malcolm was taking a bath, his mother Nancy walked in and wanted to use the toilet.

She was shocked to find her evil son enjoying such a goofy activity! How could he.

While Geoffrey was at work he had to choose between working on a boring but safe case or an interesting but risky one. He chose the risky one and caught a criminal! He came home very confident. Good job! I think I’ll have to work on getting Geoffrey promoted.

Geoffrey came home hungry and I thought it was unfair that Nancy got to have all the fun with the cupcake machine so I let Geoffrey bake some delicious doughnuts. At least I hope they will be delicious. What do you think Geoffrey?

Errr, that’s a … smile? I guess. He still looks kind of sleepy. But still, great doughnuts, Geoffrey!

Malcolm joined Geoffrey at the table and Geoffrey complained about Malcolms evil ways. Hey there, mister, don’t you judge! Whose mischief skill is the highest here, huh?

But they made up quickly and enjoyed their doughnuts in perfect sync! That’s so adorable!

Meanwhile, Nancy was not feeling happy. Besides the pregnancy induced morning sickness she was feeling very tense because she didn’t get a promotion in a while.

Finally you can see the baby bump and what a one it is! Twins?

Easy there, Nancy, you haven’t even been to work at your new job yet. Be patient! Nancy invited over Sandra Muffin to talk about her problems. Gladly, she was available.

But…

She showed up angry! Oh dear… apparently being called to Nancy’s house at 11 pm is not something Sandra likes. Or maybe Nancy was rude on the phone. She is so stressed at the moment.

Nancy complained to Sandra about not being promoted but Sandra didn’t take it well.

“This what you called me here for? That’s plum Nancy, you haven’t even been to work yet!”
Thanks, Sandra, that’s what I was saying!

I was really scared that this encounter would stress their friendship to much, so I steered the conversation into some friendlier waters.

Sandra got so excited about Nancy’s pregnancy! She probably feels appreciated too because Nancy took her marriage advice to rekindle with Geoffrey. And now a nooboo! How exciting!

Sandra even felt Nancy’s baby bump and her anger vanished immediately. The two of them even took a selfie together!

I decided to try out the interactions about the fireplace that came with the Outdoor Retreat gamepack. Geoffrey invited Nancy and Sandra to hang out there.

What the plum? Is he steaming? Am I the only one who sees this?

The conversation took an unpleasant turn as I introduced Geoffrey to Sandra. She got angry as soon as they started talking and made some nasty remarks!

She probably knows about Geoffrey’s affair! Of course she is angry. Gladly, Nancy didn’t really pay attention. Geoffrey got really uncomfortable and told a pirate story at the fire to distract everyone. It worked!

Nancy got a happy moodlet from sitting at the fire and from the great spooky story that Geoffrey told. It was funny to watch her play with the fire. Glad she didn’t burn herself. They also grilled hotdogs that looked very tasty! Sorry I have no pictures of that.

Sandra wasn’t angry anymore either. But I thought that it would be better for her to leave before she revealed any more juicy details. We’ll deal with Geoffrey’s affair later.

After Sandra was gone I checked on Malcolm.

What the…? Malcolm was swimming in the pool with dangerously low energy. Is everything okay Malcolm? Maybe he’s sad from not pursuing his aspiration… I will work on it, I promise! I have never pursued one of the “evil” aspirations before so it’ll be something new for me too.
I saved Malcolm from the pool and put him to bed. Things would surely look different in the morning.

Then I decided to let Geoffrey spy on his neighbours. Even if he’s a good guy I just want to try that interaction.

It was surprisingly boring, the observatory telescope just moved around for a while. I don’t know what I expected just something… more. But well, I did notice it increases the mischief skill.

Apparently there was some weird stuff going on in the observatory because when Geoffrey came out again he had a bad rash!

Karma strikes again! Alright, I will not let Geoffrey spy on his neighbours anymore, I swear.

In previous games I found the ultimate cure for every single disease my sims have: a nap. Who doesn’t like a nap right? I never ever ordered medicine for my sims because after a nap they are always perfectly fine.

The nap cured Geoffrey instantly, too!

That’s it for today, guys! Tune in next time to watch Malcolm pursue his aspiration and revitalise his evil ways.

  1. I hope the Landgraabs get twins. Sorry to see that Sandra came by in an angry mood. In terms of how I deal with my sick Sims, I have them stock up in medicine and whenever I see them coughing or displaying signs of sickness, I give them medicine before aby sickness moodlets shows up. After I give them the medicine, I give them either tea or orange juice to further cure their illness.

I love your writing style! It’s like you’re telling a story to us and your beautiful voice makes me happy. 🙂

  2. Geoffrey was steaming, because he had a fever. Ginny sees that everyday at the sim hospital. You need to look out for symptoms to figure out the illness faster as a sim doctor.
You can also drink milk or orange juice to cure diseases.

  3. I hope it’s twins! I hardly ever have them although when I do, it’s a pain to take care of them lol. I am so happy to see Sandra again. Now all she needs is a baby bump of her own 😉

  4. Your voice always makes me smile.

I liked this update. I appreciate how you’re portraying the Landgraabs, especially since I’m not much for the premades.

I can’t wait to see the baby (babiessssss) and what you end up doing with Malcolm.

    1. thanks 🙂 I’m having a lot of fun playing this it might show in the way I write xD

I just went with the game you know, the thought bubbles and all that. I wanted the Landgraabs to be nice in my game they always seem to be disliked xD

I can’t wait to see Nancy’s baby! I also hope for twins. Or triplets! I’ve never had triplets.

  5. Lol, Geoffrey got a rash in the observatory. You know, I’m always a sucker with those little medicine bottles you can buy. I like having my Sims take their medicine instead of napping, oh well, lol. I can’t believe Malcolm was swimming with low energy. He wants to drown himself or what? Wow, lol. Can’t wait to see Nancy pop. Oh, I hope it’s a girl. I’ve never seen her gene mix with a girl yet!

    1. I always have them buy the medicine, too! Sometimes, they get overmedicated! Ooops! It’s great to know that a nap works! I’ll have that as my default from now on!

    2. I figured that out because once a sim of mine was ill and she had the whim to take a nap (because she was sick) and when it worked I only used naps. I never even knew there was medicine until another sim rolled a whim to buy medicine xD

    3. I usually do the whim they roll for it–juice, nap, medicine. And if I notice the spots before they roll a whim, then medicine has been my default! But now I’m thinking of going with napping as default.

    1. hahaha Yeah it’s so funny because he always does a mischief interaction afterwards like “I can’t believe I did that, need to troll the forums to shake off this goodness” xD
